Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StockGeniuses LLC collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you interact with the StockGeniuses public website, early-access program, communications, application, accounts, subscriptions, customer support, and stock research and decision-support features.

StockGeniuses LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company based in Sheridan, Wyoming, United States. In this Policy, "StockGeniuses," "we," "us," and "our" refer to StockGeniuses LLC.

For purposes of applicable privacy laws, StockGeniuses LLC is the entity responsible for the personal information described in this Policy and may be referred to as the controller, business, or a similar term under applicable law.

This Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of websites, services, or providers that StockGeniuses does not control. Those services may provide their own privacy notices. Additional notice may be presented if a future integration or feature requires information not fully described here.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with StockGeniuses and which features you use.

StockGeniuses seeks to collect and process only the personal information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service or otherwise fulfill the purposes described in this Policy.

Information you provide directly

• your name, email address, account and profile information, and communication preferences;
• login or authentication-related information needed to operate an account;
• early-access information, customer-support requests, feedback, survey responses, and feature suggestions;
• information submitted through contact or legal-request forms;
• billing name, billing address, and tax-related information associated with a paid subscription; and
• information entered into prompts, notes, forms, and other product fields.

You are responsible for keeping account information reasonably accurate and up to date. Inaccurate or outdated information may affect the functionality of certain features or our ability to provide support.

Portfolio and research information

Depending on the features you use, you may enter, import through an authorized connection, or save portfolio holdings, transaction and cost-basis information, allocation information, watchlists, saved stocks, analyses, investment theses, risks and invalidation points, confidence assessments, research notes, journal entries, decision records, review history, preferences, and in-app signal settings.

This information may reveal details about your financial interests, holdings, research activity, or investment behavior. StockGeniuses treats private portfolio, thesis, journal, and research information as confidential account information and does not use it for third-party advertising.

Payment and transaction information

When you purchase a paid subscription, payment information is processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect payment-card or other payment-method information directly. StockGeniuses generally receives limited billing and transaction information such as customer and transaction identifiers, payment and subscription status, plan and billing period, payment amount and currency, billing address, tax information, card brand, partial card details, card expiration information, and payment-failure or refund information.

Information collected automatically

When generated by the website, Service, or service providers used to operate them, technical information may include Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, operating system, language and time-zone settings, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring pages, access timestamps, pages and features viewed, navigation information, session and browser-storage identifiers, diagnostic and performance information, authentication events, and suspected fraud, abuse, or security signals.

Information we do not ask you to provide

StockGeniuses is not designed to collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, complete payment-card numbers in ordinary product fields, brokerage passwords, private cryptographic keys, medical or health information, biometric identifiers, or sensitive personal information unrelated to stock research and operation of the Service.

Do not place passwords, private keys, complete payment information, government identifiers, or unnecessary sensitive personal information into prompts, notes, journal entries, or support requests.

We may receive personal information:

• directly from you;
• automatically from your browser, device, or use of the Service;
• from an authentication provider used to operate your account;
• from Stripe in connection with subscriptions and billing;
• from email, infrastructure, security, or error-monitoring providers used to operate the Service;
• from a portfolio or account-connection provider that you choose to authorize;
• from another service that you deliberately connect to StockGeniuses; and
• from public or licensed market-data sources when information becomes associated with your account activity.

If StockGeniuses offers a portfolio connection, the connection provider will handle any required brokerage credentials directly. StockGeniuses does not ask users to submit brokerage usernames or passwords through general product fields.

Provide and operate the Service

• create and administer accounts and authenticate users;
• provide requested website and product features;
• save watchlists, portfolios, analyses, theses, journal entries, and settings;
• generate model outputs and requested AI explanations;
• show in-app signals, alerts, and account history; and
• administer subscriptions and account controls.

Communicate with you

• provide early-access, account, security, billing, and service information;
• respond to questions and support requests;
• notify you of material changes to the Service or legal terms;
• send product news or marketing messages where permitted; and
• process privacy and legal requests.

Secure, maintain, and improve StockGeniuses

• detect unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and security events;
• enforce plan limits, the Terms of Service, and other agreements;
• diagnose errors and performance issues;
• understand feature use and improve reliability and usability;
• develop and test features and generate aggregated or de-identified statistics; and
• provide customer support.

Comply with legal and business obligations

• process payments, taxes, accounting, and transaction records;
• respond to lawful requests;
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
• comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements; and
• support a corporate transaction where permitted by law.

Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis for processing personal information, StockGeniuses processes personal information on one or more of the following grounds:

• to perform or prepare to perform a contract with you;
• to comply with legal obligations;
• for our legitimate business interests, including operating, securing, improving, and supporting the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights where applicable;
• based on your consent, where consent is required by law; and
• to protect vital interests or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where permitted by applicable law.

StockGeniuses may use an artificial-intelligence service provider to assist with model-output explanations, analysis summaries, clarification of context and tradeoffs, signal explanations, and portfolio observations where those features are available.

To provide a requested AI feature, StockGeniuses may send the provider information relevant to the request, such as the user prompt, company and market information, model outputs, selected portfolio context, saved analyses, notes, or journal information. StockGeniuses seeks to limit the information sent to what is reasonably necessary for the requested feature.

The AI provider may process or retain inputs, outputs, and related technical information for service delivery, security, abuse prevention, debugging, legal compliance, or other purposes permitted by its applicable terms and technical settings. Users should avoid submitting unnecessary personal or sensitive information through AI-enabled fields.

StockGeniuses seeks to configure AI services to limit processing to the purposes described in this Policy where provider settings and contractual terms allow. Third-party AI providers nevertheless process information under their own contractual and technical frameworks.

AI-generated outputs may be stored with account history when needed to provide comparison, explanation, journal, or review context. AI features support research and interpretation. They do not make automated decisions that determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, education, government benefits, or another similarly significant service.

Private portfolios, watchlists, theses, notes, analyses, journal entries, and decision history are used to provide the features you request. This may include displaying account history, running requested analyses, generating explanations, comparing current and earlier analyses, providing portfolio context, identifying relevant changes, maintaining ticker-level research history, and restoring or supporting account functionality.

StockGeniuses does not:

• sell private portfolio or research information;
• use private User Content for third-party advertising;
• publish private User Content or make it publicly searchable; or
• disclose private User Content except as described in this Policy, as directed through an authorized integration, or as required by law.

Market data and company information displayed alongside User Content may come from third-party sources and may be governed by separate rights and restrictions. See the Data Sources page for more information.

Stripe processes payments and provides billing-management services for paid subscriptions. StockGeniuses does not receive complete payment-card numbers from Stripe.

Stripe processes personal information under its own privacy notice and may retain payment and transaction records for fraud prevention, tax, accounting, regulatory, dispute, and legal purposes. Managing or deleting a StockGeniuses account does not automatically delete information Stripe is independently required or permitted to retain.

StockGeniuses uses essential browser storage and similar technologies needed for account sessions, security, interface preferences, and core functionality.

As of the effective date of this Policy, StockGeniuses does not use non-essential analytics, advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or similar advertising technologies on the public website or in the application.

Such technologies will not be enabled unless they are disclosed in this Policy and, where required, presented through appropriate consent controls. Browser controls may allow you to remove or block storage, but doing so may prevent essential parts of the Service from working.

StockGeniuses may disclose personal information to:

• service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, authentication, email, security, error monitoring, support, AI processing, portfolio connections, or market information;
• Stripe for payment processing and billing management;
• services or integrations that you deliberately authorize;
• government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the Service;
• lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and other professional advisers subject to appropriate duties; and
• parties involved in a potential or completed corporate transaction.

Depending on the service provided, a third party may process personal information solely as StockGeniuses' processor or service provider, or it may process certain information as an independent controller or business under its own privacy notice and legal obligations.

StockGeniuses does not sell personal information.

StockGeniuses does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or third-party targeted advertising. It does not use private portfolio holdings, transaction information, theses, notes, journal entries, analyses, or decision history for advertising, and it does not provide personal information to data brokers.

StockGeniuses may promote its own services through general advertising that is not based on private User Content or a sale of personal information.

StockGeniuses may create statistical, aggregated, or de-identified information that is not reasonably capable of identifying an individual. It may use this information to understand product usage, measure reliability, improve features, plan capacity, detect general trends, and create internal business and product statistics.

StockGeniuses will take reasonable measures to maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it except where permitted by law to test privacy or security controls. Removing a name alone does not necessarily make information anonymous.

StockGeniuses retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, security, legal, billing, and dispute-resolution needs. Retention depends on the information, account status, feature involved, sensitivity, legal or contractual requirements, fraud or misuse risk, backup status, and any dispute or legal hold.

• Account information and User Content are generally retained while an account remains active.
• Early-access information may be retained until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the early-access purpose ends.
• Marketing suppression records may be retained so an unsubscribe request continues to be honored.
• Billing and transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargebacks, and legal compliance.
• Support and legal communications may be retained while needed to resolve the matter and maintain appropriate records.
• Security, diagnostic, and system logs may be retained for periods appropriate to their operational or security purpose.
• Deleted information may remain in routine backups until those backups are overwritten through the ordinary backup cycle.
• Information subject to a legal hold, investigation, dispute, or mandatory retention requirement may be kept longer.
• Aggregated or irreversibly de-identified information may be retained without an account-specific retention limit.

When information is no longer required, StockGeniuses will delete, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with its retention practices.

StockGeniuses uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. Safeguards are selected according to the nature of the information, the Service, and the risks involved.

No online system, transmission method, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting account credentials, securing devices used to access StockGeniuses, logging out of shared devices, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

Early-access and marketing communications

If you join the early-access program, request product information, or agree to receive marketing communications, StockGeniuses may send launch information, availability updates, feature announcements, educational content, or promotional messages. You may unsubscribe using the link included in the message or by contacting us.

Service communications

You may continue to receive messages necessary to operate an active account, such as security, authentication, payment, subscription, service-change, legal, and support messages. You cannot opt out of essential service communications while maintaining an active account.

Product controls

Depending on available features, authenticated controls may allow you to update account information, change preferences, remove saved product information, disable in-app alerts, disconnect integrations, or request account deletion.

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request confirmation of processing, access, correction, deletion, a portable copy of certain information, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, information about categories of recipients, or an appeal of a denied request. You may also have the right to complain to an applicable regulator and to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To submit a request, email info@stockgeniuses.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and identify the email address associated with your account.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits, subject to proof of authorization and direct verification where appropriate. A request may be denied or limited where permitted by law, including when identity cannot reasonably be verified, retention is legally required, information is needed for security or fraud prevention, another person's rights would be affected, or another legal exception applies.

Account deletion will be offered through authenticated account controls or a verified request process. The exact workflow may change as the production account system is finalized.

Deleting an account may result in deletion of profile information, watchlists, portfolios, analyses, theses, notes, journal entries, preferences, decision history, and other User Content associated with the account. Some information may be retained for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement, routine backups, or proof that a privacy request was completed.

StockGeniuses does not offer a general self-service product or account-data export at launch. This does not limit any right to receive a portable copy of certain personal information where applicable law requires it.

Deleting a StockGeniuses account does not necessarily delete information held independently by Stripe or another third-party provider. Account deletion and cancellation of a paid subscription are separate actions unless the product explicitly confirms otherwise.

StockGeniuses is designed and marketed primarily for users in the United States. StockGeniuses LLC is based in the United States, and personal information may be processed, stored, and accessed in the United States and in other countries where service providers operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Rights that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable local law remain unaffected.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, StockGeniuses will use a legally recognized mechanism appropriate to the processing, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses, an adequacy decision, or another lawful safeguard. StockGeniuses does not currently represent that the Service is specifically directed or localized to residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. StockGeniuses does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and users under 18 are not permitted to create accounts or use the Service.

If we learn that a child has provided personal information in violation of this Policy or the Terms of Service, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information and close the account where appropriate. A parent or guardian may contact info@stockgeniuses.com.

If StockGeniuses is involved in a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transfer of some or all of the business, personal information may be reviewed, disclosed, or transferred as part of that transaction.

Any recipient will be required to handle personal information consistently with applicable law. Where required, StockGeniuses will provide notice before personal information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

StockGeniuses may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website or Service, features, integrations, providers, data practices, legal requirements, security needs, or improvements in clarity. The effective date above identifies the current version.

If a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, StockGeniuses will provide reasonable notice through an appropriate channel. Where consent is legally required for a new use, StockGeniuses will request it before beginning that use.
